Our Mission
Our Firm
Critchley Hill Architecture Inc. is located in North Bay, Ontario and finds its history established in 1956 when Norman Critchley and Lucien Delean founded Critchley and Delean Architects. The original firm evolved over many years providing architectural services throughout Ontario, including the coastline communities of James Bay as well as vibrant communities in Northwestern Ontario.
We consider architecture’s greatest potential is experienced when the loss of authorship of design is discovered during the design process, regardless the size of project. Authorship belongs to all of us as clients, architects, engineers, specialists, contractors, and trades. We are all responsible for making decisions that we believe can change our environment, bring beauty to spaces and materials, and inspire the people who experience our buildings.
Our Work
Designing architecture in Northern Ontario has established our firm with a depth of experience and skill unique within our province. The multi-disciplined environment with which our firm is founded upon, is rooted in our ability to provide architectural services for a variety of building types including,
schools, daycares, post-secondary institutions, healthcare facilities, recreational centres, libraries, single and multi-unit residential developments, emergency services buildings, retail, religious institutions and industrial centres.
