Mitaanjigamiing First Nation Community Resource Centre

Critchley Hill Architecture Inc (CHAI) was retained by TBT Engineering to undertake an analysis, program development, and conceptual schematic design process that focused on the needs of a Childcare and Youth program for the Mitaanjigamiing First Nations (MFN) located northeast of Fort Frances on Rainy Lake. Critchley Hill Architecture researched and studied the Niigaan Ga Oshiseng | Mitaanjigamiing Comprehensive Community Plan that was completed on May 8, 2019. A comprehensive draft Functional Program was completed to outline all program space areas. The program was submitted to CE Strategies and TBT for review and then finally a Feasibility Report was assembled and presented to the Mitaanjigamiing First Nations.

CHAI is currently working with TBT Engineering and CE Strategies for Phase 2 of the project which is the natural progression from the Feasibility study through to Design Development and a Class ‘C’ Cost estimate. The design team is developing a Net Zero approach to this project in collaboration with the Mitaanjigamiing First Nations.
